Never lose your sense of wonder
Producer, Writer, Adventurer
I have a passion for telling stories that both educate and entertain. As the daughter of a scientist and an artist it seemed only natural that I would choose a career that combined both.
The world is full of so much to wonder about and I have tried through my work in film and television to craft narratives that are brimming with adventure and a delicate dusting of scientific knowledge, from directing an archaeology documentary in the remote Andes of Peru to work on wildlife docuseries.
I don't want to explain this whole life business through truth or science. There's so much mystery. There's so much awe.
- Jane Goodall
Finally, I believe a good dose of comedy is key to making any story compelling, especially when dealing with tough issues around wildlife management and the environment. While earning my masters degree at USC School of Cinematic Arts I held the prestigious Jack Oakie Fellowship of Comedy and always try to infuse the narratives I produce with a good dose of the haha's.
And now I'll leave you with a joke...
There's a group of surgeons in the hospital operating on a patient. Things start to get tense and one of them drops a scalpel. One doctor looks at the other and says, "Calm down, it's not like we're making a movie here."
