Kate Simerly is currently in her final year at USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA  program where she holds the prestigious Jack Oakie Fellowship of Comedy.

Kate has a passion for telling stories that both inspire and entertain. A child of Portlandia, Kate brings her love for the outdoors and quirky sense of humor to every project, be it an international documentary about Archaeology in Peru (PBS 2016), comedy shorts she write and produces for USC Comedy's Us Comedians, or photography and fine art.
